Well, I think I'm back finally and it sure feels good:) The last couple of months have been extremely difficult for me and my family but I think we're on the mend now:)
The tragedy in Virginia has affected all of us in one way or another but has hit home terribly hard for Carolyn Cibik of Evening Star Designs . Virginia Tech is her alumni and her friends daughter is now attending there. She is ok, thank God, but it's been difficult as it's so close to Carolyn's heart. Know that our prayers are with you Carolyn with everything you're dealing with right now.
I'd like to thank Pat Winter of Gatherings
for all her help with learning how to do the heat transfer:) Pat took the time not only to answer my questions but when I still couldn't get the transfers to work, she sent me some of hers to try so we'd know if it was the copy or just what. I'm now in search of another copy store, as the one's I tried don't work. Thank you Pat, you are such a lovely person!
I hope to get some pictures posted tomorrow. Hope everyone has a great evening and be safe:)
Be sure and stop by Quilts n Things now and then too. I'm so fascinated by my Luffa and I write about "it" in both places. Hope everyone has a GREAT day!

Lynn Osse's Block Unicorn Group
I belong to a Fairytale Round Robin and this is Lynn Osse's block, Rapunzel. It's a lovely block:) So far Judi Shipley and I have worked on it. You can see Rapunzels gorgeous hair and braid that Judi put on it using a gold/yellow metallic floss. Isn't it wonderful! We both did a couple of seam treatments and I did the "rampion", the veggie that Rapunzels mother was dyeing for when she was pregnant. I won't tell you anymore of the story, if you haven't read it since you were a child, read it again, it's a great story:) This block will be on it's way to Gerry Hookstra tomorrow. Thank you Lynn I had so much fun! (PS..I'm posting another photo of the block, this is only half of it. My scanner takes a better close up view that's why it's this way:) )

Anita's Heart for Newbies Swap

I decided to take time out from the TAST and Encrusted Crazy Quilting (since I was "stuck" anyway) and finish the heart for Anita. We're having a one on one Newbie Heart Swap in my Hand Embroidery group and Anita Edmonds is my partner. I hope you like it Anita, the photo didn't come out as well as I'd hoped. The black is velvet, the center is red, gold, on black glittery fabric, and the gold is a metallic (sp?). Now I feel like I'm back on track a little with my embroidery so I'll go back to work on the TAST and my ECQ Block:) Have a great week end ladies:)

Encrusted CQ Block class 2

First I'd like to say Thank You to all of the notes of sympathy and support I received during this past week or so. It's been extremely hard to deal with losing my brother and I know it's going to take time to get back to some kind of norm. I can't say thank you enough times it meant a lot to know there are so many wonderful ladies I get to learn from and share with:)
I made an attempt today to get back on task with my block. It seems I did more "taking out" than I did "putting in" with my stitching. But that's ok, I did make some headway and that felt pretty good:) I've had a chance to visit some of your blogs and WOW comes immediately to mind! The work I'm seeing is gorgeous!!!
I hope I can do half as good as what I've seen and I'll be thrilled! :)
Sharon you're in my prayers (you have been since I saw your post about needing the surgery) and I hope all went well and you're back with us soon. FEELING GOOD!:)
Again thank you everyone for all your support:)
Big Big HUGZ:) to all!
