Be sure and stop by Quilts n Things now and then too. I'm so fascinated by my Luffa and I write about "it" in both places. Hope everyone has a GREAT day!
Thanks to Charlene I decided I was going to try my hand at tatting. Well the book and needles came yesterday, so of course I jumped right in there last night. This is my first attempt, not bad, but have a ways to go before I can make a butterfly:)
Congratulations on your very successful first attempt! I can promise you my first attempt looked nothing like yours! You have done very well and I hope you will keep tatting. There are lots of great tatting sites, some with video instruction and lots of free patterns. Handy Hands Tatting is a great source for needle tatting. You can go to my blog and find lots of links if you want to. http://laurasmuse.blogspot.com Good Luck!
Wow! That is GREAT, Candi! I just got in from the Tat Days conference, and started reading to see the message you sent, so I had to look... You're not far from that butterfly, at all. I'm so proud of you! Your stitches look tight, and your picots are the same. Great job!!
Hello Candi, Your first tatting project is wonderful. I wish I could get brave and try it too. Also Thanks for the nice comment you left on my blog. Much appreciate. Hugs judy
Can't believe you figured it out from a book!! I was lucky I had my grandmother to show me.... only did a few things, and nothing that looked like what you just did - what fun! Can you add it onto a cq something?

Your first attempt. Very well done. You will be tatting up a storm in no time. Enjoy this art form as there is a lot you can do with it.
Your first attempt is great! I know my first attempt didn't look nearly so even. Neither did my second, my third...
