Who Says Cats Are The Only Ones??

I was going through my threads and yarns the other day making the mistake of putting the ones I liked and wanted to keep seperate, in a basket nearby where I was working. Silly me, as if I didn't know Taz loves to play in the yarns or any threads he can get hold of. Needless to say this is the end result as I chased him all over the house trying to get my "fuzzy thread" back. lol No harm no foul:-) Just had to share this one.

TAST Buttonhole & Detached Chain

I was finally able to get back to working on some of the stitches yesterday. This is really great for me, I'm learning what a huge difference tension on the thread makes. Some of mine are too loose and some are too tight and I know this is going to take time (as I'm a totaly beginner!) I was afraid I would feel frustrated but I keep remembering what ya'all have said and that's be patient it all comes with practice:) I'm hoping Sunday I'll be able to get back to it and practice on both of these stitches before going on to the Cretan stitch. I'll remain behind for a while longer and that's OK:-) Oh yes, and I decided to play with the "fuzzy" thread a bit too. I really love that stuff, just gotta figure out where I can use it. :)

Jeanne's baggie from Switzerland

My baggie from Jeanne Gagnaux in Switzerland arrived today and I cannot even begin to tell you how excited I am!! Here are some pic's of what came, they're awesome! I can't wait to use them. Thank you Jeanne I absolutely love every piece! The buttons are gorgeous, the motif's are so precious, the lace, threads, the beads (with teeny tiny butterfly's!) the fabric is wonderful!!! I can't wait to start a heart! :)

Hearts Completed for Swap

Here's three of the hearts I've been able to complete that are being swapped. I'm happy with the first two, but the purple print with pink I'm not real crazy about. As I said before, I get so focused on color that when I get out of my comfort zone I have a little difficulty and I think this one shows that. I'm sure I'll get better in time:)

Take A Stitch Tuesday

I haven't posted in a while as things have really been crazy around here with the holidays. I am determined to follow along and do my best with the Sharon's TAST. Most of these stitches are totally new to me so mine will be very simple, just doing them is a challenge:) It took me a while to do this little bit, but so far I'm satisfied with it. Not real happy, as I see where there's lots of room for improvement, but then that's what it's all about, right? lol I love seeing what others have done with this and I have to tell you, now I need to head to Office Max and get some new ink cartridges I'm printing so much! I hope to have some other photo's posted in the next day or so. Hope everyone's holidays were happy and safe and the new year brings good things to all:)
