TAST Buttonhole & Detached Chain

I was finally able to get back to working on some of the stitches yesterday. This is really great for me, I'm learning what a huge difference tension on the thread makes. Some of mine are too loose and some are too tight and I know this is going to take time (as I'm a totaly beginner!) I was afraid I would feel frustrated but I keep remembering what ya'all have said and that's be patient it all comes with practice:) I'm hoping Sunday I'll be able to get back to it and practice on both of these stitches before going on to the Cretan stitch. I'll remain behind for a while longer and that's OK:-) Oh yes, and I decided to play with the "fuzzy" thread a bit too. I really love that stuff, just gotta figure out where I can use it. :)

Candi, I think your stitching looks fabulous on that buttonhole - all of it! I love the thread you used, too. The chain stitch looks good, too. Try the wheel with stitches closer together, and you may be happier with it. The flower is wonderful. You are doing such good work. Are you sure you are new at this? =)

Now Candi, YOU are a beginner. I have seen your work and it is awesome. If you are a beginner, I sure hope I can do half as good as you when I get going. I thought you had been doing this for a long time by seeing your beautiful hearts you do.
