Which Do You Think?

Ok guys, I've posted this on my QuiltsnThings blog too because I really need some help. My sister gave me my birthday present wrapped in the most beautiful multi colored batik that goes with the floral print just beautifully! The only thing is I can't get any more of it, so I needed to find one that will go with and enhance the floral print. Which do you think works best? I'm really on the fence on this, and can use any suggestions you might have. Thanks in advance:)

I think that all depends on the effect you are looking for. I think the gold makes a more gold feel and the purple a more purple feel. I kinda like how the purple makes the purple pansies pop.

I'm with Melissa! Depends on the final "look" you're after. That said, i'm leaning towards the purple and i'm not a "poople" person really! VBG!!

I vote for the purple.

You know me...I'm a purple person but honestly, they both work so well I would try to use them both!

BTW, what are you making????

Are the three fabrics you are showing the only one's in your project? Me, I like the gold,,,but if you have other colors you will be using that could make a difference too,,but either one would be pretty.

Why not use BOTH, they are both wonderful compliments to the floral. I have 2 yards of that very same pansy floral! Gold warms it up, Purple cools it down. And what is your background going to be? Depends huh!
I love all of it.

You already know my opinion. =) Whatever you do, it will be beautiful.

I also like them both and it depends on if you want a warm or a cool finished product. Seeings how I always lean toward cool, I'd would probably go with the purple, it is also more calming.

Hey, girl! Long time...
I like them both as well. I'd like to see what the batik that you're using with it will be... Is this for CQ - use 'em all !!

Candi, I love purples, so that one definitely would make it into the quilt, but going off of the colors of your pansy fabric, I'd use the purple, gold and add a dark green from the leafs to the whole mix. :o)

Hi Candi! If I'm not too late to put in my 2 cents worth... You know I *am* a "poople" person, :) but.. I'm with Thelma.. I think the pansies "pop" more with the gold, especialy if you're using it for CQing because then you can use more purple embellishments and stitches that will show up more better!! :) However, if it's for regular quilting.. I'd go for the purple in a hearts beat. :)
