ECQ Block

Here's the pic's of my block, any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! :) Should I take out the varigated thread on the feather stitch? It kind of stands out like a sore thumb, huh? Also the half wheels I'm not at all happy with either...THANK YOU

I think it looks pretty, Candi. Looks like leaves on the branches to me.

Hi Candi, I haven't done much CQ so I am no expert. It doesn't stand out like a sore thumb to me. It seems to me that this is a long seem, how would it look if you broke it with a motif?

I love your roses and the spider web. I don't think the varigated stands out like a sore thumb, I like the look. Maybe you could add a lace motif or some other embroidery in the pink patch above the spider web.

The block is beautiful! So soft and pretty looking. I wouldn't take out a thing. I don't think the feather stitch stands out at all. It blends right into the pink/brown/gold look of the block. That gold spider web is perfect. The wheels are fine, too. Next time, try smaller spaces - maybe one extra spoke in each one, but these are nicely rounded, so they are what they are supposed to be.

Candi,
I see nothing wrong with this block, it is very pretty. I wouldn't take any stitching out. You are doing a great job.

Candi, I wouldn't take out any thing. It adds interest if you have elements that you may not like. I think they are nice myself but I am no expert. I have seen a lot of CQ work, and your block is very pretty and interesting texture. Eye pleasing!Nothing looks odd to me here.Love the colors.
