Pink Saturday!
Pink Saturday is upon us again and though what I'm about to show you isn't pink, it's very interesting. Be sure you go by Beverly's How Sweet The Sound to check out all the wonderful blogs with the beutiful work they're doing and have done.
This is a set of Etched Crystal Southern Pacific glasses in a "storybook" case with the story of each engine on the inside of the box. They were a safety award lmy husband Bert recieved many years ago. You can tell how many because Southern Pacific was bought out by Union Pacific eons ago. I've taken a picture of the key chain awards (never used, they were too pretty) that I framed many moons ago too:) hmmm those pictures came out on top! lol I'll get the hang of this sooner or later. Have a wonderful PINK SATURDAY!!!
Oh yeah, here's a pink tulip that goes to a quilt I'm working on. It was going to be for a friend that was having a her first grandchild and we thought it was a girl, but surprise it's a handsome beautiful baby boy names Hudson!!!

Where Has The Week Gone!!!
Wow where has this week gone???!!! I woke up this morning and couldn't even remember (for a minute) what day it was! lol I'm late getting this up, but before I do, please go by How Sweet The Sound to see all the other blogs you can visit. Some absolutely wonderful blogs at that. Beverly works so hard to keep this up and thank you for all your hard work.
These are one pot of my Amaryllis. The bulbes in this pot are only a few years old, but the bubs in my second pot are about 30 years old! If not older! The flowers on that one are huge and when they open I'll show you. This year I'm going to seperate the bulbs and put them in more pots.

The pot that hasn't opened up yet first belonged to my sister, then she gave it to our mother after about 12 years, then when Mom passed away I got the pot. I have no idea how long Mom had it, but I've had it for about 9 years now and every year I sooo look forward to them blooming. It means spring is really here and we're going into Summer before long.
I hope everyone has a wonderful Pink Saturday!!!

Another Saturday is Here and it's Pink One! :)
These are some miniature tea cups that I plan on making into mini pin cushions. I'm hoping it will be a first project with Emily and Elizabeth, my daughter's Fiance's girls. They're adorable, 8 and 4 years of age. Busy as little girls go and so feminine, but don't let that fool ya:) They can hold their own. lolol They're beautiful.
Here's a picture of my Amaryllis just starting to bloom. I have two huge pots of them and this year I'm going to try planting the seeds. It takes about three years from the time you plant the seeds before you get a bloom, so it's going to be an interesting process. Hmmm try as I might I can't get the flower down here with the statement. lol Should have done it last I guess.
Be sure you go by Beverly's How Sweet The Sound and check out all the other blogs posting today. It's PINK SATURDAY!!!

Quilt On The Frame and Spring is in the air
This is for one of my dear friends new granddaughters. She's 12 years old. so hopefully she'll like it;)
Well, I got one of two quilts I want to get finished up this week end on the frame. I've been procrastinating and it's time to get goin! lol I think I have a bit of spring fever, our weather is absolutely gorgeous. It's in the 80's everything is growing and I'm watching as my Lillies pop through the ground and I'm eager to see what colors they are. They got planted late. After I picked up my grandsons from High School today (half day schedule this Fri) I went out to the nursery and picked up two beautiful Asparagus Ferns. They're a nice dark green packed together and ready to open in all directions once it's in a nice big pot. We'll plant those this evening.
